I just saw a clip of John Bolton getting his ass handed to him on the BBC. It's great to see but it's also saddening that as British is pulling out its 7,000 troops they're having an honest debate on the tele about the situation in Iraq meanwhile the states is beefing up its presence and launching the war into another year of carnage and Americans are watching dancing with the stars and checking their myspace pages. Why an Iraqi citizen has to be the one to tell Bolton to his face that he's a misguided fool is beyond me. It would be impossible for the people at the billion dollar news agencies to not be aware of the dire situation on the ground in Iraq yet everytime Bolton is invited to a news show he's often given a free pass to run his mouth and if and when he is challenged it's usually from a stand offish approach. God save the BBC.
