So Lincoln should have given all of the Norths wealth (tax revenue) to the slave merchants in the south to buy out slavery. But giving any money to the actual slave (welfare) so that person can begin to rebuild their life and become productive citizens is bad?
he has racist people writing newsletters and publishing him for years. he declares hed vote against the civil rights act. he voted against rosa parks getting a gold medal. its plain as day. and he's indoctrinating all kinds of susceptible people into conservative mindsets. He does the same thing all politicians do. He takes an element of truth and then adds his little spin to it. and when the country was ina fervor about 9/11 he came around looking like a sheriff that was gonna clean things up. and then thousands of kids signed up because it was a way to directly impact society with their idea. their idea of truth. the idea of knowing that our president is a crook and the entire government is in on it with him. at least the trends that have been created by paul's enthusiasm hasn't been perverted into anything that would cause any kind of real tension in society. I see it mostly as a conservative float in the carnival that is our fragile corporate owned and controlled democracy. Ron Paul's float is the frat boy that likes to talk politics when he's not watching football or talking about the last chic he nailed.
