I wish we could get back to how we acted the days following 911. It was the worst day in our lives as Americans but for a moment we were all Americans again. There was no divide. They exploited us yes but they didn't trick us into feeling some sense of solidarity. Just like how they say Jesus died for our sins, these people all died for our sins. And we felt the sorrow of the world as one.
Then came the conspiracies. and the left/right wing-bats and they divided and conquered us. 30 years from now it'll just be another JFK. Something that happened to somebody else. and someone will make a movie and we'll tell our children where we were and it'll all seem like it was just a dream.
